I dig it. Never heard Norma Jean before, but that wasn't bad.

http://vevo.ly/8pBsRu

Re: Listen: M.I.A. x Lorde – Royal Planes

@MustacheMonocle Eli, that video was fucking hilarious, man. Can't wait for more posts. OH, tomorrow check out the new Norma Jean video at 3pm. I know it's not your kinda music necessarily, BUT you might enjoy the video.

Re: Listen: Chance The Rapper x Nosaj Thing – Paranoia

Definitely agree with you on the Odd Future comparison. Chance seems to own his sound rather than fabricate it, which is more poetic than necessary, but it speaks to his authenticity and puts him heads and shoulders above other gimmicky off the beaten path rappers out there right now. The verdict's still out on him, but his mixtape is hot and dude's versatility as a lyricist combined with that accesible production like you mentioned keeps his ceiling pretty high. Thanks for checking out the post by the way.

Re: Listen: Chance The Rapper x Nosaj Thing – Paranoia

I also think Chance is onto something big. He's got a sound I feel hip-hops been missing for a while, appealing to all the kids who don't like the trap style artists. It's a little more relevant than the Odd Future in my opinion, as it's a lot more melodic, and generally listenable (haha.)

Re: Remix Roundup: March 2013

Wow. The "Hey Joe" remix alone is worth the price of admission.

Re: New Music Mondays, Part II – Tilian Pearson, K Sera, The Dear Hunter

Thanks for the suggestion. Casey worked with them directly after K Sera on their new upcoming album that is coming out on April 13th. Rumor has it that Casey did some singing and instrumentation on it too...pretty pumped for it. The singer also built a sweet baritone guitar for Casey like the one he uses, there's pictures all over their page about it. I can't believe more people aren't talking about these guys as well.

Re: Throwback Thursdays: Acceptance – Phantoms

That Saosin/Anberlin/Acceptance tour was incredible. Was able to catch it in LA while on vacation from Australia. Still one of the best shows I've ever been to.

Re: Throwback Thursdays: Acceptance – Phantoms

Thanks! Yeah, that Take Cover tour was pretty awesome. I think Paramore was even on some of the stops. Anberlin is always great, but that tour was one of the last times where Cove killed it for Saosin. I'm hoping they can still do great things with Tilian.

Re: Throwback Thursdays: Acceptance – Phantoms

Thanks for the kind comment and one of my favorite albums of all time, Ryan. It's almost like you read my mind and had the same experiences.
I saw them play during the take cover tour and truck stops and statelines tour the best shows of the 2000's. I wish I could have seen them play with anberlin and saosin for they are still my favs.

Re: Throwback Thursdays: Acceptance – Phantoms

Hey, thanks so much for this article. I caught wind of it on Facebook, and I should say that reading it was entirely humbling. I know all of us in the band are so thankful for the folks who find a repeating and lasting value in the record. It's far more than we could ever think to ask for. So, thank you, again.

Re: Twenty Twelve Top Albums

The Gary Clark album sounds great so far.
